BBC’s Working Lunch reported that UK holiday chain Pontins is investing 50 million pounds and creating 2000 new jobs at 6 of its UK Pontins sites. Pontins also reported that summer bookings were up on last year. The credit crunch and global financial crisis is helping the likes of Pontins and Butlins as families are choosing to holiday in the UK this year rather than a more expensive alternative abroad.
