Rosemary Schrager appeared on This Morning with Phil and Fern to cook Parkin cake, and also to talk about her new book entitled Rosemary Schrager’s School for Cooks.

Parkin is a traditional receipe for Bonfire Night, it is delicious, and only takes about an hour and a quarter to cook.

Rosemary explained to Phil and Fern that her book and the TV series to accompany it is designed to inspire people to get into the food and cooking industry, as she was inspired herself. Rosemary Schrager has put people into the food industry already because of this, Philip Schofield commented. Fern then asked Rosemary who inspired her and gave her the tough and right criticism she needed to make a name for herself. Schrager replied that John Christophe Novelli was fantastic - he was tough in the kitchen, but with a heart of gold, and for Rosemary Schrager the toughness came at the right moment in her life and career. She had a lot of respect for Novelli back then despite his youth.

Philip Schofield said that Rosemary Schrager’s School for Cooks contained beautiful recipes. In all there are 140 recipes in the cookbook.
