18 year old American Idol singing sensation David Archuleta appeared on The Paul O’Grady Show tonight to sing a song from his self-titled new album, which is released on May 11th 2009.

David told Paul he was currently touring with McFly who were ‘awesome’, and that this was his first trip to the UK. Paul O’Grady noted David’s enthusiasm and energy, both on stage and in the interview.

David Archuleta shot to fame on American Idol as a fresh-faced 16 year-old singing sensation. Along the way he has had to overcome vocal paralysis. View his American Idol audition below:
