Top 5 Fireworks as seen on The Gadget Show

Other, The Gadget Show Add comments

Jason Bradbury counted down a Gadget Show Top 5 Fireworks feature on last night’s show. Here were the top 5 fireworks from 5 to 1.

5. Wheely Wonka

Spinning in at number five was the Wheely Wonka. Jason Bradbury described the Wheely Wonka as a powerful, jumbo-sized catherine wheel that’s over 35 centimetres across. It’s not only bigger than a traditional catherine wheel, it has greater thrust and gives off a fantastic sparks plume. The Wheely Wonka utilises ball bearings for improved stability and momentum.

4. Shimmering Sapphire Rocket

The Shimmering Sapphire Rocket came in 4th place in The Gadget Show’s Top 5 Fireworks feature. Jason said the Shimmering Sapphire Rocket launches itself into the air at an astonishing 30 metres per second, ie very quickly. It contains the metal magnesium meaning it burns incredibly brightly. A very impressive rocket at only £14.99.

3. Colossus 173-shot display

Blasting into third place on the Top 5 Fireworks list is the Colossus 173-shot display. The multi-shot battery contains 173 separate tubes glued together and connected by a single internal fuse. The Gadget Show’s Jason remarked that it takes well over a minute to get through all the tubes and ‘looks like a professional fireworks display’.

2. Glo-Lantern

Gliding into 2nd place on The Gadget Show’s Top 5 Fireworks chart is the Glo-Lantern, a much more sedate looking bonfire night display. The Glow Lantern is delicate, beautiful and ‘floaty’ according to Jason Bradbury. It is made of flameproof paper, and when there is enough hot air inside it rises and floats away. The Glo-Lantern burns for about 5 minutes. If you’re looking for an altogether more relaxing supplement to your fireworks arsenal this bonfire night, the Glo Lantern is for you.
