1) Windows Speech Recognition
This got 2 Gadget Show ‘G’s out of five. The best thing about Windows speech recognition is that it is free with Windows Vista. Not the best on the market, but if you have a PC with Vista, Windows speech recognition software costs you nothing.

2) Dragon Naturally Speaking 10 Preferred
Jon Bentley said that the Dragon software is much better than the Windows Speech Recognition software, but it comes at a price of around £115. The Dragon Naturally Speaking software was given 3 G’s out of 5. Jon said that the Dragon is the one to go for if you’re planning on spending a lot of time using speech recognition software.
