On this week’s edition of The Gadget Show Ortis looked at karaoke games for the consoles, XBox360, PS3 and Wii.
First up was We Sing for the Nintendo Wii. We Sing uses wired microphones and the disc comes pre-loaded with 30 tracks such as Every Breath You Take by The Police. Like most console singing games, We Sing monitors the pitch of your voice and awards you points for accuracy. Craig David thought there was a good collection of contemporary and older songs on We Sing.

Next up was Lips: Party Classics for the XBox 360. Lips Party Classics has 40 tracks to choose from on the disc, and crucially an additional 220 tracks to choose from on the XBox Live online store. You can choose to sing in teams, or against each other. The lyrics are nice and big – easy to read.

Singstar is a popular Playstation franchise, and the latest edition is SingStar: Volume 3 for the PS3. It lets you purchase songs from SOny’s impressive online catalogue, SingStore. There are around 1200 tracks to choose from. The navigation is slick and smooth. Craig David was mightily impressed with SingStar, and The Gadget Show awarded it an impressive 5 G’s.
