Blake are a group who first appeared on television on The Alan Titchmarsh Show a year ago, as four young men who met on the internet site facebook and dreamt of taking the classical music scene by storm. 12 months on, Blake have done it. They’ve had the best-selling classical album of the year, won a coveted Brit Award, and as Alan Titchmarsh remarked: “Now have scores of screaming girls lusting after them”.

Blake’s debut album, ‘Blake’ went immediately to first place in the UK classical music album chart and has now sold over 150,000 albums in the UK. On yesterday’s The Alan Titchmarsh Show, Blake appeared in the studio to promote their second album ‘And So It Goes’ and to sing for the audience.

Blake have been in the news recently for a connection with Kate Middleton. One of the Blake boys admitted that him and Kate were friends at St Andrews, but that the stories of Kate suddenly freezing him out had been taken completely out of context.

Blake revealed on The Alan Titchmarsh Show that an amazing group of girls, the Garrison Girls, will be touring the garrisons with Blake supporting our troops. It is something to look out for soon, they said. Blake then sang the classic ‘Time to Say Goodbye’ from their new album ‘And So It Goes’, which is available to buy online.
