The ION LP 2 CD converter was the first gadget featured on this week’s Something for the Weekend. Gadget expert Seema Palmer explained what the ION LP2CD does. Basically it converts old LP records to CDs. Seema used the Now that’s what I call music LP to demonstrate how the ION works in the Something for the Weekend studio. Everything is transferred across to CD, including the vintage authentic LP crackling sound.

The ION LP 2 CD retails at around £300. If you’re of a certain age and have a stack of LPs that you wouldn’t mind converting to CDs to listen to in the car for instance, and you want to retain that authentic crackling sound, then the ION LP 2 CD is for you.
