The iMu Vibrating Speaker is a clever little gadget. It was the first of this week’s Something for the Weekend gadgets. Gadget Guru Seema Palmer said the iMu speaker uses vibration based technology to turn any hard surface it is placed on into an audio speaker. Seema demonstrated how the iMu worked by placing it on a hard surface in the Something for the Weekend studio, connecting it to an MP3 player and playing Lady Ga Ga’s Just Dance. The denser the surface the iMu vibrating speaker is placed on, the better the sound.
The iMu vibrating speaker is very versatile. It can be connected to any MP3 player, CD player, laptop, handheld games console etc. The iMu speaker retails from around £50.
