The Geneva Sound System was the first item featured on this week’s Something for the Weekend gadget round up ‘Some Things for the Weekend’.

The Geneva Sound System is a new compact speaker system with a ‘pretty amazing’ sound quality according to Something for the Weekend’s gadget expert Seema Palmer. As well as being really easy to use, the Geneva Sound System has a very stylish modern design as you can see from the picture – this will look good in any room. It is also really portable around the home.

You control the Geneva Sound System with a small easy to use remote control unit. The top of the main unit features an Ipod dock which is actually compatible with any MP3 player. There is a hidden CD slot at the back.

Something for the Weekend gadget expert Seema put the new Boyzone CD ‘Love you Anyway’ into the Geneva Sound System to test the sound quality, and it sounded very good – a very clear digital audio quality. It apparently uses an audio algorithm called ‘embracing sound’.

The Geneva Sound System as seen on Something for the Weekend comes in three different colours, red, black and white. It also comes in three sizes, medium, large and extra large. The one featured on the show was a large unit, in red. It starts at £500 and is available from the Geneva Lab Store.
