De Blob for the Wii, as seen on Something for the Weekend
Something For The Weekend, Video Games Add commentsDe Blob, a new computer game for the Nintendo Wii, was the final ‘gadget’ featured on this week’s Something for the Weekend. De Blob was demonstrated by Tim Lovejoy and Ronan Keating in the Something for the Weekend studio.
De Blob is played using both the Wii-mote and the nunchuk attachement. Something for the Weekend gadget expert Seema Palmer explained to Tim and Ronan that the aim of the game was to colour all of the buildings in your colour, using the blob to spread the paint around. Tim and Ronan played one of the eight multiplayer game modes available on De Blob.
Blob icons at the bottom of each player’s screen contain numbers which change as paint is used. When you get down to zero, it means you have run out of paint and you need to collect some more from designated spots around the free-roaming level.
Ronan Keating commented about De Blob for the Wii, saying ‘my kids would love this’. The game retails at around £35 and would make an excellent gift for a child who wants a new game for their Wii. We have found the game for £29.98 with free delivery from Amazon.
