kaka Kaka to stay at AC Milan, as seen on Sky Sports News

Kaka is staying at AC Milan, Sky Sports News has just announced. Reports from Italy indicate that Milan President Silvio Berlusconi has tonight confirmed on an Italian TV show that Kaka will not be transferred to Manchester City and will indeed remain at AC Milan. It has been a real rollercoaster of a transfer saga and Sky Sports News has followed it all the way, sending reporter Brian Swanson over to Milan for regular updates.

Earlier today it looked as though Kaka would make the reported £100 million plus transfer to City to join countrymen Elano and Robinho in the Eastlands revolution. However this evening Kaka was filmed at the window of his house in a show of gratitude to the Milan fans who had gathered outside his house to urge him to stay at the club. Sky Sports News have just confirmed that Kaka will be staying at AC Milan, that is the story from both Berlusconi in Italy and Sky Sports News reporter Alan Myers over at Eastlands, who has revealed in the last few minutes that Manchester City told him that they broke off the Kaka negotiations with Milan. According to Manchester City Football Club, Chief Executive Garry Cook did not even get the chance to speak to Kaka as was rumoured to happen today.

So we are now at the end of an incredible transfer saga, and it appears that 26-year-old Kaka will play out the rest of his contract at AC Milan until 2013. Who City sign next remains to be seen – so far both Wayne Bridge and Craig Bellamy are confirmed signings.
