If you just watched Saturday Kitchen, you saw chef Gennaro Contaldo cook a fantastic ‘steak with tomato sauce’, sirloin steak with cous cous, capers and anchovies in a sauce of garlic, tomatoes, peppers, onion and lemon juice.

The meal went down well with the panel, and the wine expert Olly Smith chose an bold, sassy, rich red wine from Sicily called Nero D’Avola, dubbed ‘The Godfather of Sicilian Wine’.

It’s also very good value – James Martin called it a ‘bargain’ and Gennaro said he would definitely snap up a case.

Nero D’Avola is available to buy from Tesco at £5.69 a bottle. Buy a case of this fantastic red wine by clicking here
