A French Syrah Grenache 2007 was chosen by Saturday Kitchen wine expert Susie Barrie to go with Stuart Gillies tuna dish. Susie chose a full-bodied red wine to go with the creaminess of the parsnips and the intensity of the red wine sauce. The Syrah Grenache 2007 has juicy blackberry fruit notes and mediterranean smell. There is also a hint of black pepper. Susie Barrie was in Andover to pick the wine for the Saturday Kitchen studio guests to enjoy, but you can buy a Syrah Grenache wine from any Marks & Spencer.
