The Finest Gaston D’Orleans Vouvray 2007 white wine was chosen by Saturday Kitchen wine expert Tim Atkin to go with chef Diana Henry’s pork. Tim said the great thing about pork is that you can serve it with white wine or with red, it’s all about the other ingredients. The strongest flavour in Diana Henry’s dish according to Tim was the Roquefort cheese, which if on it’s own he would enjoy with a sweet dessert wine like the Botrytis Semillon from Australia.

Saturday Kitchen’s Tim Atkin eventually plumped for the Tesco Finest Gaston D’Orleans Vouvray 2007. It comes from the Loire valley in Western France and is made from the chenin blanc grape variety. It has lovely characters of apple and honey, and Tim thought it would go perfectly with the pork cooked up in the Saturday Kitchen studio.
