Just before the postponement of Friday Night with Jonathan Ross, Daniel Craig appeared on the show to talk about Quantum of Solace, his role as Bond, and other general chit-chat such as his interest in watches – something Joanthan Ross capitalised on when he persuaded Daniel to auction his Deville Rattrapante watch for Children in Need.
Daniel Craig has been hailed by film critics as the best Bond since Sean Connery, bringing a far more gritty and realistic quality to the role compared to such predecessors as Piers Brosnan and Roger Moore. The scripting helps – Quantum of Solace dispenses with much of the gadgetry and one liners to provide a solidly entertaining action thriller.
