Paul O’Grady, former stand-up cross-dressing comedian and now king of daytime TV, appeared on Friday Night with Jonathan Ross last night for a chat about his life and to promote his new autobiography.

Paul O’Grady’s autobiography is titled: At My Mother’s Knee…And Other Low Joints: The Autobiography.

Jonathan Ross chatted to Paul, 53, about his current life on a farm next door to Julian Clary of all people. Jonathan suggested that Dale Winton should be encouraged to buy the farm on the other side to create a big ‘gay farming’ community.

A self-confessed ‘moaner’, Paul O’Grady puts his grouchiness down to the heart medicine he takes following two heart attacks, though he did go on to tell Jonathan that he thaws as each day progresses.

At My Mother’s Knee… documents Paul’s early life, strongly influenced by his sharp-tongued mother and a couple of aunties. From working class roots, Paul O’Grady documents his formative years before fame and success transformed him into the national treasure he is today.
