Designer Julia Kendell had some fantastic tricks up her sleeve when her and the DIY SOS team converted a catastrophe of a run-down bedroom into a cool Orient-themed spiritual space for Stuart and Shelley to relax in.
One of the best features of the room was the colour therapy light in the ceiling. At the touch of a button the mood of the room can be changed, by changing the colour of the ambient light. There are several Colour Therapy Lights on the market, and they did not specify which one they used on DIY SOS, but one of the best known Colour Therapy Lights is the Philips Living Colours Light.
The Philips Living Colours Lamp (or Philips LivingColors Lamp if you’re American!) lets you choose from 16 million different colours to choose your mood. There are various dimming features on the Philips LivingColours Lamp – you can increase or decrease brightness and colour saturation.
The Philips Living Colours lamp does not emit any heat, so it can be kept on for as many hours as you want. Perhaps the best feature of the Philips Living Colours light is the remote control. It works by radio control rather than infrared beam so you don’t have to point the remote directly at the lamp to change the colour.
There is a colour wheel on the LivingColours remote control, allowing to select your preferred mood quickly and easily.
The Philips LivingColors Light is available to buy from several online retailers, you can buy one by clicking here
