Anthony Bourke and John Rendall appeared on BBC’s Breakfast today to talk about Christian the Lion and their new book, A Lion Called Christian.

40 years ago, the two Australians visited London and the famous store Harrods, where they bought a lion cub they christened Christian. This was legal at the time, and they raised the lion from a cub until eventually they released Christian into the wild in Kenya.

After a while, Anthony and John visited Kenya to be re-united with Christian the Lion. The reunion was captured on film and recently this remarkable footage has become an absolute internet sensation on YouTube, clocking up millions of views.
