Extreme Dreams: The Ultimate Challenge is a BBC2 programme hosted by Animal Park’s Ben Fogle. On Extreme Dreams, Ben takes a group of deserving heroes on an expedition of a lifetime to see some of the wonders of the world in some of nature’s toughest environments. Last night saw the team begin their trip in Ecuador, trekking through the Avenue of Volcanoes en route to the top of Mount Chimborazo, the closest place to the Sun on Earth. Extreme Dreams is a 20-part series which will chart the team’s journey with Ben Fogle through South America from the Equator to the Tropic of Capricorn.
