Last night Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May travelled to the US to take three new generation muscle cars, the Cadillac CTSV, the Corvette ZR1 and the Dodge Challenger, on an epic road trip from San Francisco to the heart of Utah.

Top Gear has been in the news recently for Jeremy Clarkson’s controversial lorry drivers/prostitutes comment. It is a run of the mill Clarkson-style joke, but in the wake of the whole Russell Brand & Jonathan Ross saga, some people have deemed the joke a ‘bannable’ offence. Fortunately, it looks like neither Top Gear nor Jeremy Clarkson are being banned any time soon, which must be a good thing for TV.

The Big Book of Top Gear is in the style of the show itself, containing fascinating features for petrol heads all over the UK. Richard Hammond’s love affair with a small Opel, an essential guide to James May-style sheds for the modern gentleman, arguments against public transport and caravans, and some of the most powerful cars ever to grace a track. There is also info that the show didn’t reveal about some of the most exciting Top Gear trips, from the Arctic Circle to Africa to the USA.

The Big Book of Top Gear is a must-have for any Top Gear fan, and is out now.
