1. Sanctuary Trim and Tone Body Clay and Wrap

First up was Doreen. She tried the Sanctuary Trim and Tone Wrap Body Clay. This product is available from Boots. 2. GUAM Seaweed Mud Wrap

Paula tried out the GUAM Seaweed Mud Wrap. Paula most disliked her ‘love handles’. The GUAM mud was messy and sticky, but as it is based in seaweed it is very detoxifying. In total Paula lost 3 and a half centimetres using the GUAM seaweed mud wrap. She commented that her skin felt very soft after the treatment.

Hattie tried the IONITHERMIE Home Kit, now available at home for the first time. The IONITHERMIE is a mint based rubberised mask which you wrap in dry bandages and it falls off easily in one piece afterwards. The only criticism of the IONITHERMIE was that it was ‘freezing’ when it first went on.

David Attenborough’s Life on Land as seen on This Morning

Music & DVD, This Morning No Comments »

David Attenborough appeared on This Morning recently to talk to Phil and Fern about his DVD Encyclopaedia called Life on Land. It is a bold title for a documentary series because Life on Land can cover an immense range of species living on Earth. Philip Schofield asked David Attenborough whether there was going to be a Life on Sea. David Attenborough acknowledged that Life on Land meant exactly that, and they were careful not to include anything about marine life in the documentary, which they covered in the Blue Planet series.

David Attenborough’s Life on Land is like it’s title a DVD Encyclopaedia. There are no fewer than 15 DVDs in the box set, 40 hours of footage narrated by the great man himself.

Interestingly, humans are also featured in Life on Land. David Attenborough explained that ‘The First Eden’ which features on one of the DVDs in the set was a programme they made a long time ago about the Mediterranean. Human beings evolving in Africa came up the Mediterranean and this was the first place where they come to terms with wild animals, and domesticate them.

Philip Schofield described David Attenborough’s Life on Land as ’such a wonderful thing to have…essential in schools, but also at home’.

Rosemary Schrager’s School for Cooks by Rosemary Schrager as seen on This Morning

Books, Food & Drink, Rosemary Schrager's School for Cooks, This Morning 5 Comments »

Rosemary Schrager appeared on This Morning with Phil and Fern to cook Parkin cake, and also to talk about her new book entitled Rosemary Schrager’s School for Cooks.

Parkin is a traditional receipe for Bonfire Night, it is delicious, and only takes about an hour and a quarter to cook.

Rosemary explained to Phil and Fern that her book and the TV series to accompany it is designed to inspire people to get into the food and cooking industry, as she was inspired herself. Rosemary Schrager has put people into the food industry already because of this, Philip Schofield commented. Fern then asked Rosemary who inspired her and gave her the tough and right criticism she needed to make a name for herself. Schrager replied that John Christophe Novelli was fantastic - he was tough in the kitchen, but with a heart of gold, and for Rosemary Schrager the toughness came at the right moment in her life and career. She had a lot of respect for Novelli back then despite his youth.

Philip Schofield said that Rosemary Schrager’s School for Cooks contained beautiful recipes. In all there are 140 recipes in the cookbook.

Inflatable Greenhouse as seen on This Morning

Home & Garden, This Morning 1 Comment »

An Inflatable Greenhouse was one of the garden products featured on today’s This Morning. Eamonn and Ruth were on the bank of the Thames with garden guru David Domoney discussing the inflatable greenhouse, which literally does what it says on the tin – it’s a greenhouse that you inflate.

Gardening expert David Domoney explained to Eamonn and Ruth that he had been to the big trade show that all garden buyers go to, the Glee garden leisure equipment exhibition. David had a look round for some of the most innovative gardening products he could find, the inflatable greenhouse being one of them.

The inflatable greenhouse costs around £300 and is available to buy from chaselink.co.uk. This Morning presenter Eamonn commented that it wasn’t flimsy, not likely to blow away in a light breeze and very solid. There are a couple of vents in the inflatable greenhouse to allow air to circulate. Ruth Jones got inside the greenhouse and commented that it was very warm inside – obviously doing it’s job as a greenhouse then!

Garden expert David pointed out that the Inflatable Greenhouse was not designed as a flotation device. According to David, a lot of people are now growing palms and exotic plants, they don’t want a greenhouse all the time but want to protect some plants during the winter time.

The Inflatable Greenhouse could also have other uses, This Morning’s gardening guru David suggested. For example, you could use it to protect things like pushbikes, garden games, furniture, equipment etc. It comes with an inflator to save your own lungs, it takes around half an hour to inflate.

The Inflatable Greenhouse is available to buy at around £300 from chaselink.co.uk, click here to visit their website.
