Michael McIntyre is one of Britain’s funniest up and coming stand up comedians. Whilst not yet achieving ‘regular’ status on Mock the Week or 8 Out of 10 Cats, Michael has appeared on both comedy panel shows on numerous occasions. He recently appeared on the TV special We Are Most Amused to celebrate the 60th birthday of Prince Charles alongside comedy greats including John Cleese and Rowan Atkinson.

Funnyman Jimmy Carr presents Channel 4’s topical survey comedy panel show 8 out of 10 Cats, featuring team captains Sean Locke and Jason Manford. But Jimmy is much more than just a TV show host. He also wrote a book on jokes, called The Naked Jape: Uncovering the Hidden World of Jokes, which is the ‘best book about jokes ever’ according to David Baddiel. Today’s Loose Women featured comedian Jason Manford. Perhaps best known for his role as Team Captain on 8 Out Of 10 Cats, Jason Manford is also a stand-up comedian and is currently touring the UK. He took some time to chat to the Loose Women about his tour.
Jason revealed that part of his stand up routine involves chatting about the comedic aspects of the relationship with his wife, such as going shopping ‘following her round and paying for stuff’.
Loose Women’s Jane McDonald asked Jason whether stand up was harder to perform in certain areas of the country. Jason replied that up north, the audience was generally more interactive, shouting out things whereas audiences down south were slightly more reserved.
