Simon Booth entered the Dragons Den looking for an investment in his Kiddimoto company which manufactures the unique Kiddimoto balance bike for young kids. Despite a grilling by the Dragons, Simon managed to leave the Den with a joint investment from Dragons Hilary Devey and Duncan Bannatyne.

Demand for Kiddimoto balance bikes has significantly increased recently, and coupled with the Dragon’s Den exposure the balance bike should become one of this year’s most sought after Christmas presents. The balance bikes are unique in that they don’t have pedals, they teach toddlers and young children how to balance and are a great stepping stone between trikes and proper bikes.

remotetopper 300x100 Remote Control Bowling Ball as seen on The Gadget Show

Probably the most left-field of this week’s Gadget Show gadgets was the 900 Global RC900 Remote Controlled Bowling Ball. Gadget Show presenter Pollyanna tested the product in a ten-pin bowling match against the UK’s best female ten-pin bowling champion Hayley White.

The radio controlled bowling ball is designed with a counter-weight inside, and it is this which allows you to control its direction using the remote control handset. Once the ball finds it’s balance position you simply sync it to the handset using the wireless connection, and you’re ready to cheat (er, bowl).

This remote control bowling ball is great fun, and really works. It’s aimed squarely at kids and designed to bridge the gap between the video game generation and bowling, but big kids will love this too.

If you have a child desperate for a puppy this Christmas, then this is the next best thing – without the malting or vet’s bills! Some kids are allergic to puppies – they won’t be allergic to this cute little toy.

You can pet Gogo and he will sound excited, you can tickle his tummy. Put Gogo My Walking Pup on the floor and he will walk unaided, with you holding his leash. If you stop petting him, he will get sad. Perfect for young children at Christmas, said Something for the Weekend presenter Tim Lovejoy.
