There was a special Halloween theme for this week’s Something for the Weekend gadgets round up. Halloween gadgets and Halloween outfits turned the SFTW studio into a mildly scary place. Here were the Halloween gadgets and outfits featured on the show:
First up was the Mummy Costume which costs £34.95. It is made of stretchy spandex and it’s official name is a MorphSuit. The mummy design seen on Something for the Weekend is guaranteed to scare, but it’s also available in skeleton or zombie designs.
Next was a cute Halloween baby pumpkin outfit from Tesco, £10. It isn’t currently available on the Tesco website but they do have a whole range of baby and toddler halloween outfits here, or a similar baby halloween outfit for £10 from Marks & Spencer here.
These Dracula Halloween outfits cost £10 from ASDA complete with waistcoat top, trousers, cape and mask.
The boys who modelled the Dracula costumes also showed us the Hexbug Spiders. The Hexbug Spiders come in various colours and they have 360 degree rotation, controlled by a small handheld remote control unit. A great stocking filler.

Next up was a boy modelling a cool skeleton costume based on The Nightmare Before Christmas character Jack Skellington, including long sleeved top, waistcoat, trousers, mask and detachable bat. At £12.50 it’s a bargain halloween outfit.
The Mobi Headphonies are little speakers for your mobile phone or MP3 player which manage to pump out some great sound considering their small and portable dimensions. They also look really cool. Advertised on Something for the Weekend for £19.99 but we’ve found them a little bit cheaper here

The halloween witch outfit was from Wilkinson and only costs £5. It comes with a witches hat and broomstick accessory. The little girl wearing this outfit also brought on a Monster High Doll called Spectra Vondergeist. Apparently Spectra is the daughter of the Ghost and she can float through walls to hear school gossip. This Monster High doll comes with stand, pet, diary and accessory. Click on the doll for more info.

Bill Bailey’s son Dax showed us a scary werewolf outfit from Sainsburys, £12-14, and gave it the thumbs up. Unfortunately this isn’t available to buy online, but we’ve found an equivalent werewolf outfit from Matalan for just £5 here
Tru Blood is a drink just perfect for a Halloween party. It looks like blood – O Positive to be exact; but it tastes like a delicious blood orange carbonated drink. It’s inspired by the hit US TV Show True Blood.

Finally Tim Lovejoy’s two girls appeared on Something for the Weekend wearing a Pirate Outfit from Tesco and another Pirate outfit from Sainsburys a huge life-sized chocolate skull from Choccywoccydoodah. This immense lump of painted white chocolate weighs in at a hefty 2.8 kilos! If you prefer a milk chocolate skull, you can buy one from Hotel Chocolat here

Last but not least was the Jelly Brain, or the Giant Gummi Brain to give it it’s proper name. It’s bubblegum flavoured and weighs over 3 kilos. Perfect for a scary halloween treat.
