Sandi Toksvig appeared on The Paul O’Grady Show on Monday to talk about her life and her two new books, Guide to Spain and Guide to France.
Paul O’Grady described Sandi Toksvig’s Guide to Spain and Guide to France as ‘fascinating’. They are designed to appeal to children, but Paul said they really appealed to him too. These guides are packed with jokes, fun and information about the two European countries. They include stickers at the back and space to write your own travel journal. Sandi said the point of the guides was to make foreign travel an enjoyable and fun experience for kids.

Alistair Campbell, the notorious Labour spin doctor, appeared on Loose Women yesterday for a chat and in part to plug his new book, All In The Mind, in which he draws on his experiences as a hardened Fleet Street journalist in the 1980’s, through to his time at Number 10 and all his highs and lows in between at Westminster. 40 years ago, the two Australians visited London and the famous store Harrods, where they bought a lion cub they christened Christian. This was legal at the time, and they raised the lion from a cub until eventually they released Christian into the wild in Kenya.
After a while, Anthony and John visited Kenya to be re-united with Christian the Lion. The reunion was captured on film and recently this remarkable footage has become an absolute internet sensation on YouTube, clocking up millions of views.
