Kiefer Sutherland popped into the This Morning studio for a chat with presenters Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Jones this morning. Kiefer Sutherland is star of the smash hit TV show 24, in which he plays leading man and all round action hero Jack Bauer, saving the world on an hourly basis. Kiefer Sutherland appeared on This Morning to coincide with the start of the new season of 24, which sees Tony Almeida (played by Carlos Bernard) return from the dead, the disbandment of CTU, a new female President and a serious threat to American infrastructure and security, tied into US military action in Sangala, a fictional African country.
Kiefer Sutherland is best known for his role as Jack Bauer in 24, but he has had a distinguished acting career and a very interesting personal life. Son of the famous Hollywood actor Donald Sutherland, Kiefer has starred in many great films such as The Sentinel and Phone Booth. He famously turned his back on Hollywood after several film roles before the phenomenon that is 24 appeared on our screens, and nearly married Julia Roberts.
